Following their horrific drowning in their family pool, a Florida mother is mourning the death of her husband and two children. Local authorities were called to the family’s Hollywood home on February 24 after Anne Marie Dolce discovered her husband, Jean Wisly Fontus, and their two children motionless in their family swimming pool, according to WSVN.
Emmie, five, and Tyler, two, were identified as the deceased minors.
“A 911 call for a probable drowning was received shortly after 3:30 p.m. by the Hollywood Police Department. Officers arrived on the scene to find three victims who were unconscious. “It was an adult and two children,” Deanna Bettineschi, a spokesperson for the Hollywood Police Department, told CBS Miami.
Officers on the scene attempted CPR and other life-saving methods to resuscitate Fontus and his two children. After being transferred to a hospital, they were pronounced dead.
“They were all full of love,” Dolce told WSVN. “It’s the only word I can use to describe it: love.” “What’s really weighty and hard is the reality of the situation.”
The devastated mother and wife also stated that her husband and children were accustomed to taking daily afternoon swims in the pool. “They usually play in the yard and pool, do painting activities, and ride their bikes on the patio or sidewalk,” Dolce explained.
Hollywood Police are investigating the fatal occurrence. Officials are yet to determine the circumstances behind their deaths, although they have stated that they do not suspect foul play was involved.
Dolce’s GoFundMe page offered additional details about the incident. “Wes, Emmie, and Tyler went for their last swim together in the family pool, just like any other day.” “We imagine Emmie and Tyler climbing onto the pool and splashing water at dad as they normally do,” she said.
“At some point, something happened that brought the good times to an abrupt stop. We’ll never know how, and we’ll certainly never understand why, but we can rest well knowing that Dad, Emmie, and Tyler are in God’s loving hands in Heaven.”
Dolce also remembered her late husband and children fondly. “‘I’m a big fan of your hair.’ I like your outfit. ‘Wow, that baby is adorable.’ “It’s just the way she spoke and how she was, extremely kind,” she added of Emmie, who has a two-year-old brother Tyler.
“He [Tyler] believed he was a superhero, but he was my superhero,” she explained. Dolce referred to her husband as the life of the party on several occasions.
“This was a get-together. It was always a get-together here. “There was always music blasting, and everyone was invited,” she recounted.
The GoFundMe campaign has raised more than $50,000, significantly beyond the $40,000 objective.
