From all indications, it seems the world is yet to fully uncover the mysteries, heritage, and glory of the ancient African civilization of Egypt. The lost golden city, which was regarded by some as a myth, because it was missing, has now been found in Kemet (Egypt).
The last time archaeologists uncovered something this big, was when they found the tomb of Tutankhamun. The Egyptian mission which found it, began their excavations in September 0f 2020, between the temples of Pharaohs Ramses III and Amenhotep III near Luxor, 500km (300 miles) south of the capital, Cairo.
After a few weeks of excavations, they started to see brick walls made of mud, which traveled in various directions. As they continued their dig, they discovered that the brick walls were of “a large city in a good condition of preservation, with almost complete walls, and with rooms filled with tools of daily life.”
The lost golden city is said to be 3,000 years old and is regarded by the excavation team, as the largest ancient city ever uncovered in Kemet (Egypt). They said the city has been buried under sand for millennia. Some experts told reporters that many foreign missions searched for the city without any luck.
According to a famous Egyptologist, Zahi Hawass, the lost golden city traces its age to the reign of Kemetic Pharaoh Amenhotep III, who ruled Kemet (Egypt) from 1391 to 1353 BC. The city was also vibrant and useful when Pharaohs Aye and Tukanhamun ruled Kemet.
The team found numerous ancient artifacts; among them were colored pottery vessels, scarab beetle amulets, and mud bricks which have the seals of Amenhotep III. They also found jewelry such as rings. After digging for seven months, they have been able to uncover a bakery with ovens and storage pottery. Also, they have uncovered residential and administrative districts.
The team is still working on the site and they hope that they find “untouched tombs filled with treasures.”
As these discoveries continue to go on and the world marvels at the wonders of ancient Kemet (Egypt), it is important for us to point out that ancient Egypt (Kemet0 was a black civilization and is in no way the heritage of the Arabs who presently occupy it.
